Its like what Confucius said... "In the world there are many different roads but the destination is the same. There are a hundred deliberations but the result iis one." The trick is in choosing the right path, the path that will take you to the spiritual fulfillment that all of us are looking for in our lives. Perhaps we don't realize this, but its true for everyone. Its built into our DNA, that we become seekers of the ultimate goal. The fact is, there may be more than one path that will take you to your goal, but there is one and only one correct path that we all must seek, because that path is the one that will be the straightest, the one that will allow us to attain our goal with the least difficulty. My job is not in telling you what that goal is, but to point out some of those paths, help you decide on your own what path might be the right path to take, and guide you toward your ultimate destiny. My job also includes helping you remove those things that work to block you from following your chosen path. But I don't do this alone; in fact, I actually do very little. All I do is help you realize that you are the ultimate navigator of your own fate, and you have the ultimate power to achieve it from within you. Trusting your fate to any other person is dangerous and highly likely to send you in the wrong direction. His Holiness Dalai Lama once said: I believe there is an important distinction to be made between religion and spirituality. Religion I take to be concerned with belief in the claims to salvation of one faith tradition or another--an aspect of which is acceptance of some form of meta-physical or philosophical reality, including perhaps an idea of heaven or hell. Connected with this are religious teachings or dogma, ritual, prayers and so on. Spirituality I take to be concerned with those qualities of the human spirit--such as love and compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, a sense of responsibility, a sense of harmony, which bring happiness to both self and others. When you are lost and ready to find your path, come to me. Be aware that it may be a difficult trip, though usually its easier than one would think. There are so many variables involved, which is the spice of life. Stay well! Billy Enigmar |
